Now
in his 4th season as Head Coach at Voorhees College, Coach Williams has made
Voorhees a top 25 program.
He has accomplished more things in 3 years then most coaches do in a
lifetime.
Coach Williams has won 2 conference Championships (2004 & 2005), has played
in the National Tournament every year since taking over Voorhees College
(2004, 2005, 2006) and also won a school record 26 games and enjoyed a
school record 20 game winning streak last season. He was named coach of the
year by Times Democrat in 2006 after leading his team to a national ranking
(#14). This was the first time Voorhees College was ranked in the top 25
after completion of the regular season.

Coach Williams started coaching at Paine College in Augusta, GA where he was
the Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coach.
Then he moved on to his alma mater Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern
University as an Assistant Women’s Basketball coach. After coaching at his
alma mater, Coach Williams moved on to Florida A&M University to be an
Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach.
Coach Williams and his wife, Karen, have two children Tyler (7) and Dylan
(3). The Williams family makes their home in Columbia, South Carolina.
