The goals of the Division of Business and
Professional Studies are to:
1. Equip the graduate with the appropriate
knowledge, skills and background to pursue
graduate studies in Accounting, Finance,
General Business, Criminal Justice,
Sociology, Organizational Management, or other
related areas; and
2. Equip the graduate with the appropriate
knowledge, skills, and background to pursue
meaningful careers in the public or private
sector.
The objectives of the Division of Business
and Professional Studies are to:
1. Maintain a strong curriculum in Business
and Professional Studies;
2. Identify, recruit and retain students with
an interest in and potential for careers in
Business and Professional Studies:
3. Provide knowledge of business and
professional practices;
4. Enhance students' ability to read, write,
speak and listen effectively and think
analytically;
5. Increase the number of Business and
Professional Studies majors admitted into
graduate/professional schools as well as the
number who gain employment in their field;
6. Provide divisional faculty an opportunity
for professional growth and development; and
7. Respond to and meet the higher education
needs of non-traditional learners.
