COOPERATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM
The major objective of the Cooperative Education Program
is to provide students with professional work experience.
Students interested in participating in the Cooperative
Education program are requested to contact the Career
Planning and Counseling Office.
COOP 400: Coop Seminar (1)
The course is designed to introduce students to the
Cooperative Education program.
COOP 401: Cooperative Education I (6)

MINORITY OFFICER RECRUITING EFFORT (M.O.R.E.) PROGRAM
The Minority Officer Recruiting Effort is available to
students attending Historically Black Colleges and
Universities and member schools of the Hispanic Association
of Colleges and Universities, or other approved institutions
with significant minority populations. If accepted, during
the student’s junior and senior years at Voorhees College,
the United States Coast Guard will pay for tuition, books,
and provide a salary. When the student graduates, he/she
will attend Officer Candidate School in Yorktown, Virginia
and then begin a career as a Coast Guard Officer.
