The area of Mass Communication at
Voorhees College provides a sound theoretical background and the practical
skills necessary for global immergence into the discipline. Through a
diverse curriculum, students are afforded an array of experiences and
opportunities.
Graduates of the Mass Communication
program will avail themselves to a multiplicity of career options as
multimedia professionals. Graduates will also have an understanding for the
structure, function and work processes of their specific interest areas. In
addition, students will examine the impact media convergence has on this
discipline.

The mission of the Mass
Communication major is to aid students in comprehending the nature and scope
of mass media and its impact on a changing society.
Objectives of the Major

appropriate academic training for careers in mass communication, which
include public relations/advertising, radio broadcasting, print and
online journalism.
