Voorhees’ business programs reaffirmed accreditation
January 7, 2010
The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners recently awarded Voorhees College reaffirmation of accreditation of its business programs.
ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business school at Voorhees College meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.
“Voorhees College has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Director of Accreditation Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Reaffirmation of Accreditation at the ACBSP Annual Conference in Los Angeles on June 27.
“This accreditation is evidence that Voorhees College is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students.”
Dr. Cleveland L. Sellers, Jr., Voorhees’ president, said that the reaccreditation of the business programs exemplifies that the quality education Voorhees’ graduates receive.
“The Division of Business and Professional Studies successfully receiving reaccreditation reaffirms Voorhees’ commitment to providing our students with a quality education and preparing them to compete in a global society,” Sellers said.
“Voorhees’ dynamic leadership team, which is comprised of faculty, staff and students, spent countless hours preparing for the reaffirmation process so that Voorhees’ business programs ranked among the highest quality business programs in the nation.”
ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating and rewarding teaching excellence. Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only business accrediting organization for all associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degree programs. In 2001, ACBSP was recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
