Welcome to Voorhees College! I am proud
to be your SGA President for the 2007-2008 school year. It
is also my pleasure to announce that your Student Government
Association Executive Cabinet is one of the best groups I
have ever had the pleasure to work with. It is clear to me
that the campus administration is eager to work with us to
ensure that the needs of all students are met as this
college continues to improve. We are already hard at work on
plans to make your educational experience here as memorable
and effective as possible.
Our main goal is to be a strong voice concerning issues that will
forward your education at this institution. We have many strategies concerning
making this goal a reality. Each and every one of you fit into this strategy and
all students and student groups are most definitely members of Student
Government. All registered students play a vital role in ensuring that we best
serve the needs of the student body. You all have a right to voice your opinions
on how this campus operates and how you are affected by its operations. Those
rights can be exercised by your involvement in Student Government. I urge you to
voice your concerns to your student representatives, be a part of student
groups, attend SGA meetings and join SGA led student committees to improve this
campus.
Ultimately, our voice is strong if we
unite. Our campus administrators need us to bring issues to
light that will forward this college’s purpose. I cannot
stress enough how important it is for you to be active in
school groups and stay abreast of what happens in this
school. What you do during your college years will
contribute to how you spend the rest of your life; make it
count!
