Voorhees holds 2019 Faculty Staff Appreciation Day

The Division of Institutional Advancement and Development (IAD) recently held a Faculty Staff Appreciation Day Fish Fry on the Tiger Den Patio.

This event was coordinated by Sarah Simpson, faculty/staff and church relations development officer, to celebrate and recognize faculty and staff for their contributions, dedication, and hard work to the institution.

“This is our second faculty/staff appreciation event. I thank everyone who came out to fellowship,” said Simpson. “Our division wanted to extend appreciation for all faculty and staff do at Voorhees. In return, we want 100% faculty and staff giving to assist with institutional needs.”

More than 50 faculty and staff members attended the event. Vice President for IAD, Dr. Gwynth Nelson, said she received great reviews on the event. “It is our goal to come up with unique and appealing events to show gratitude to our faculty and staff. Faculty Staff Appreciation Day is a time to take a load off from the day to day operations,” Nelson said. “As employees of this great institution, it is important to give back.”
