Voorhees President is interviewed on The Logan Power Show

October 19, 2018

President W. Franklin Evans was recently interviewed by Calvin Logan, a 2006 Voorhees College graduate and TV show host for “The Logan Power Show.”

Evans discussed with Logan his vision for the institution behind the new official tagline, “Voorhees: Begin. Believe. Become.”

“To fully support the vision behind our founder Elizabeth Evelyn Wright, students must begin at Voorhees, and as they matriculate, they begin to believe in the mission, and once they graduate, they will have become Voorhees,” Evans said.

Logan came back to his alma mater to conduct the interview as a way to reconnect to the institution. He began at Voorhees in 2002 and believed in quality education he received. Now, Logan says he is and will always be a proud product of Voorhees College.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Voorhees College and a master’s degree from Webster University. While at Voorhees, he was a member of the Student Government Association (SGA), where he served as president, played baseball, taught Bible study, and founded Breakthrough Ministries, a non-profit organization with 35 student members.

“The Logan Power Show,” airs on The Now Network, which is viewed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. It can be viewed on the website thenownetwork.com.

Logan has been married to Jamelia, who is also an alum of Voorhees, for more than 11 years, and they have three talented children, Jasmine, Jeremiah, and Prince.
