Voorhees student receives job opportunity with the YMCA
August 01, 2017

Voorhees College sports management major Christopher Graham was offered a summer job opportunity as a wellness coach at the Jeep Rogers Family Youth Men’s Christian Association (YMCA).
Graham began as an intern in April and was offered a job immediately after beginning. Graham remains as a wellness coach instructing members on the facility equipment, helping them achieve fitness goals, maintaining member retention, recruiting members, and promoting events.
“I had an internship that became a job in the field I am currently studying in. I am able to use my classroom training and experiences on the job. The job allows me the opportunity to personalize individual fitness programs for members to help them stay focused and interested in their wellness goals,” Graham said.
Graham will work the remainder of the summer at Jeep Rogers with the opportunity to continue during the school year. He is a rising senior, a member of the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and a native of Bamberg, S.C.
