Scholarships are financial aid based on merit or some type of qualification. Money you receive through scholarships does not have to be paid back after graduation.
Voorhees College offers academic scholarships as do a number of private organizations, businesses, civic clubs and foundations. Additionally, the state of South Carolina offers scholarships to residents of the state.
The following scholarship opportunities are housed under the Division of Institutional Advancement. View each scholarship for full requirments. All scholarship recipients are required to write letters of thanks to the individual or institution providing the scholarship.

Account Control Technology Foundation Scholarship
$1,000 Second-Year scholarship (25 awarded nationwide to students beginning their sophomore year in Fall 2016)
The winning candidates for first, second and third places receive $1,900, $700 and $400, respectively.

Allstate Insurance in partnership with Tom Joyner Foundation will award ten $2,000 scholarships.
